The beginning

In June 1997, the traditional Biriba brand, which had existed for more than 50 years in the market, started to operate under a new administration, which initiated a complete overhaul of the machinery. In January 1998, the brand again commercialized cane brandy and soon after it launched the Biriba Beers in the flavors of mint, peanut, peach, lemon, strawberry and coconut.

Sodas

At the end of 2001, more structured and attentive to the growth of the market and the lack of an industry of this size in Pelotas, started to commercialize only Biri soft drinks in glass bottles, in the Guarana, Lemon, Orange, Cola and Tutti-fruti flavors. Two years later, with the purchase of several special machines, he began to offer them also in Pet packaging, doubling its production.

Expansion

In 2005 Biri increased its distribution to neighboring cities, serving a large part of the southern region of the State of Rio Grande do Sul. Subsequently, the grape flavor was launched and Biri started to commercialize from 2014 Mixed juices in the Citrus fruits , Red Fruits, Peach and Grape.

Innovation

In the year 2015 another new flavor of soda was placed on the market, demonstrating that it was always attentive to the consumer. Biri brought from Uruguay and Argentina the Pomelo flavor, a traditional fruit from these countries. In 2016 the traditional Cana Biriba brandy is once again marketed for a season by the company throughout the region.

Update

In 2017, the focus is on strengthening the Biri ZERO soft drink line with a new look for the entire line. In 2021, following the consumer trend at home, Biri brought its Tonic in the traditional and ZERO versions.

In 2022, Joker energy drinks gained a new visual identity and the Foguetão Drink was launched. In addition, the company began offering some flavors in a new 1.25-liter PET bottle.

Present and Future

The company's main objective is to constantly improve the quality of its products, adapting to consumer behavior while still offering fair prices and maintaining its tradition with its customers.
